The EL8 Pro is a portable power station built to run Starlink off-grid. It powers the Standard V4 (Gen 3), Standard Actuated (Gen 2) and Mini, delivering PoE straight to the dish with no inverter in the way.
Why this instead of a power station and an inverter? Running Starlink through an inverter converts DC to AC and back to DC, which typically costs 10 to 30% of your battery before the dish sees a watt. The EL8 Pro outputs PoE directly, so that loss is gone and the same battery runs longer.
Why You Need EL8 Pro
Starlink draws real power, and the usual outdoor answers are heavy, wasteful, or fragile in bad weather. The EL8 Pro is compact, built around Starlink specifically, and skips inverter losses so a smaller pack lasts longer. It carries selectable PoE voltages for all four Starlink models and sets up without tools.

The Standard V4 and the V5 both run on 57V PoE. We read 57V, 1.1A per port directly off the label on our own V5 (model UTA-262), so the V5 runs on the same 57V setting as the V4 with no adapter and no modification. Switching Procedure: Before connecting the antenna, the correct voltage must be set first. To do this, unplug the PoE cable from your Starlink, select the required voltage (48V or 57V) using the rear switch or screen setting, and then reconnect the cable. Using the incorrect voltage may cause startup failure or permanent equipment damage.
Starlink Connection Guide
Setup in 3 simple steps:
- Connect Starlink PoE cable → EL8 Pro PoE Port.
- Connect Ethernet cable → EL8 Pro LAN Port → Router / Device. This step applies to the dishes that use a separate router: the Standard Actuated (Gen 2), Standard V4 (Gen 3) and V5. The Starlink Mini has a built-in router and skips it.
- Turn ON the EL8 Pro. The system powers Starlink automatically.

Which Starlink models are compatible?
The EL8 Pro supports the Starlink V5, Standard V4 (Gen 3), Standard Actuated (Gen 2) and Mini. Select 48V for the Mini and the Standard Actuated, or 57V for the Standard V4 and the V5.
How long can it run Starlink?
It depends which dish you are running. These figures are for the 648Wh pack with direct PoE and snow melt off:

Snow melt is a separate load that pulls well over 100W on top of these figures, so expect a much shorter runtime with it switched on.
Can I charge it with solar panels?
Yes. EL8 Pro supports MPPT solar charging up to 180W. Connect directly using standard DC5521 input cables.
Can I take it on a plane?
No. At 648Wh the battery is far past the 100Wh airline carry-on limit, and it cannot be checked either. The EL8 Pro is built for vehicles, boats, cabins and base camps you can drive to. If you need to fly with power for a Starlink Mini, look at a pack with swappable cells instead.
Can it charge other devices at the same time?
Yes. You can charge phones, laptops, and cameras through USB-A or USB-C ports while powering Starlink simultaneously.
Can it charge & power simultaneously?
Yes. While charging, EL8 Pro powers your Starlink and other devices at the same time, automatically prioritizing Starlink when charging power is high and using the battery when it is low.
