IMPORTANT NOTES
1) Using the snow melt function requires an additional 120W and cannot be used via a cigarette lighter plug, as most vehicles and power stations have a 10A limit.
2) For starlink to work properly under each mode, we advise powering the XTAR-Link DC conversion EL3 or EL6 with a minimum of a 12V 15A electrical system, or better yet, a 24V 10A system (which should provide sufficient amperage output) through a Ring terminal or hardwire connection.

We were RV'ing in Montana when we damaged our Starlink cable. I looked on eBay and found XTAR who would FedEx it out to us in a remote location. It arrived quickly and saved the trip. Great service and the cable is a good quality.
I installed and used for 5 months straight without any issues on my sailboat while cruising the Bahamas. Was able to save on power consumption with this set up. Unit would be warm to touch but not hot. WiFi provided with the kit provided good coverage from any where on the boat (48 footer).

I picked up the foldable tripod after leaving my stock metal one on a picnic table at the last campground. I love that it's light-weight, and folds up. So, much easier to store. The Gen 2 Starlink fits into the tripod and clamps firmly. I've had it set up in fairly windy conditions, and never found it tipped over. I did use the provided stakes once in a very windy location. Worked like a champ.
