Why X6
Built for Continuous Runtime
Looking for the best battery for Starlink Mini that doesn't lock you into a fixed pack? X6 is built for that.
Starlink Mini doesn't just need power — it needs continuous runtime in real off-grid conditions. X6 is built for users who don't want to wait for a power bank or large station to recharge. Instead of relying on a fixed battery, it uses a swappable 21700/18650 cell system, so you can simply replace drained cells and keep Starlink running — making it the most flexible battery pack for Starlink Mini on the market.
It's designed for RV trips, remote work, field setups, and emergency use — where every minute offline counts.
If you already own 21700 or 18650 batteries, X6 turns them into a flexible runtime system. If not, you can start with a ready kit and scale as needed.
Swap cells. Keep going. No waiting.

FAQ
FAQ
Is the X6 a battery case or battery pack for Starlink Mini?
The X6 is a power shell — closer to a battery pack than a case. It doesn't attach to the Starlink Mini body; instead it sits alongside it via the built-in stand, suction mount, or tripod, and connects via a DC cable. This keeps the terminal ventilated and the setup flexible for any mounting scenario.
Does the X6 include batteries?
No. The X6 shell requires 6×21700 protected Li-ion cells, sold separately. XTAR 21700 4900mAh cells are available as part of the full kit — see the bundle option above.
Any tips for getting the best performance out of X6?
A few simple habits make a big difference:
Use the right cells
Protected 21700 cells are recommended — they include built-in safeguards against over-charge, over-discharge, and short circuits, which matters in a 6-cell series system. Unprotected cells can work, but require more care to ensure all cells are well-matched.
Match your cells
Use the same brand, model, and capacity across all 6 slots. Fully charge all cells before first use, and avoid mixing old and new cells. Do not mix 21700 and 18650 cells in the same setup.
Before inserting
Check that each cell follows the +/− polarity markings inside the bay. Cells should slide in smoothly — if one doesn't fit easily, stop and recheck orientation. Avoid inserting cells that are still warm from charging; room temperature is ideal.
Follow these and the X6 will give you reliable, long-lasting performance every time.
Can I bring the X6 on a plane?
Yes. Remove the cells before flying and carry them as hand luggage. Each XTAR 21700 4900mAh cell is under 100Wh, which falls within standard airline carry-on limits. Always check your airline's specific lithium battery policy before travel.
Can I use 18650 batteries?
Yes, with a compatible 18650-to-21700 sleeve adapter. Note that 18650 cells have lower capacity, so runtime will be shorter than with 21700 cells — see the runtime table above for estimates.
Can the X6 charge batteries internally?
No. The X6 is a power output shell only — it does not have a built-in charger. Cells must be removed and charged separately using a compatible Li-ion charger such as the XTAR VC series.
How long will the X6 run Starlink Mini?
Using 6× XTAR 21700 4900mAh cells: approximately 5.3h at normal browsing load (20W), 3.8h during video or streaming (28W), and 2.6h under heavy load (40W). See the full runtime table above for all cell configurations.
Does swapping batteries interrupt Starlink Mini?
Yes. Starlink Mini will power off when cells are removed. The physical swap typically takes under 3 minutes. After reinserting fresh cells, Starlink Mini usually reconnects within 2–3 minutes.
What do the LED indicator colors mean?
The power button doubles as a battery level indicator:
Green — charge level ≥ 50%
Yellow — charge level 15–49%
Red (steady) — charge level 5–14%, consider swapping soon
Red (flashing) — charge level ≤ 5%, swap cells immediately
How do I care for and maintain my X6?
The X6 needs very little maintenance. Keep it clean and dry between uses, and store it somewhere cool and dry.
If it gets wet during outdoor use, simply wipe off any moisture afterward. For extra care, open the battery compartment and wipe the battery contacts dry before storing. Keeping the contacts clean and dry helps maintain reliable performance over time.
Finally, a Starlink Mini battery solution that actually makes sense. Instead of replacing the whole power bank when the cells wear out, I can just swap in fresh 21700s and keep going.

I love that it works with standard 21700 batteries. No proprietary battery packs, no expensive replacements later.

This solves one of the biggest problems with portable Starlink setups—waiting for a power bank to recharge. Just swap batteries and keep working.

What impressed me most is the flexibility. Need more runtime? Bring more batteries. Need less weight? Carry fewer. Simple and practical.

The ability to choose between 18650 and 21700 cells makes this incredibly versatile. I already had batteries from my flashlights, so getting started was easy.
Works as advertised no surprise
Works as advertised no surprises. Been using g for a few weeks powered by 1500 wh battery via 12 volt cigarette socket. Starlink averages about 20 volts. On off switch is great. I leave it plugged in all the time which saves trouble and wear.

We were RV'ing in Montana when we damaged our Starlink cable. I looked on eBay and found XTAR who would FedEx it out to us in a remote location. It arrived quickly and saved the trip. Great service and the cable is a good quality.
I installed and used for 5 months straight without any issues on my sailboat while cruising the Bahamas. Was able to save on power consumption with this set up. Unit would be warm to touch but not hot. WiFi provided with the kit provided good coverage from any where on the boat (48 footer).
I picked up the foldable tripod after leaving my stock metal one on a picnic table at the last campground. I love that it's light-weight, and folds up. So, much easier to store. The Gen 2 Starlink fits into the tripod and clamps firmly. I've had it set up in fairly windy conditions, and never found it tipped over. I did use the provided stakes once in a very windy location. Worked like a champ.

Great product
Great product. It saves me the stress of not having to worry if thieves would steal my Starlink if I left it outside. I can put it in my truck on the dashboard and it catches the signal through the windshield. I definitely recommend this product!
